Trip Mines

Postby ElemenT » Tue Feb 08, 2005 5:10 pm

If anyone has played and beaten the original Half-Life (I'm pretty sure everyone has), then everyone knows all of the weapons featured in that game. One of my favorite weapons featured was the Laser Trip Mine. I get crafty with those, you know

Anyways, I think it would be a cool idea to apply this to Counter Strike. You could just use the trip mines from the original Half-Life. You could buy them for 5 credits for 10 mines. Great way of guarding doors, vents, hostages, ect. ect.

Advantages: Guarding certain objects; Easy to place down where enemies normally travel; Tremendous explosion on impact

Disadvantages: Easy for enemies to spot; Idiots on your team could walk into them easily and explode (unless it was designed for anti-TK).
Element: (n.) the four elements (wind, water,
fire, earth); the four things that are believed to make up the known universe

How would this differ from using a dew grenade to do the same?

Unless a Dew Grenade can reach a measure of 500+ ft. with a laser sight, I guess you can disguard.

But it would serve the same purpose, just in a different form.
