Cross Bow

Postby Angel of Death » Mon Jun 14, 2004 5:09 pm

How about a cross bow?

This will allow you to shoot arrows. It would also be able to shoot knifes as well. An optional feature would be poison tipped arrows and blades. That would inflict more damage. would cost 5 creits for shooter 1 for ammo and 1 for poison tips. Would inflickt 20 damage per shot and 30 with poison tips.

What do you see as the tactical advantage to a cross bow or how does it benefit a player to use the cross bow verses other weapons?

For one it is stealthy. Would be light weight and very quiet. Can also shoot arrows fast via minigun barrel setup or could be setup to use the traditional method of firing. which ever you desire. Is also a great choise of weapon for dark places since the is no flash from the firing of the weapon

Another idea would be flaming arrows that ignite the player upon contact

Water good... Fire bad!
Poison would be better. Or alcohol :P . Then the player gets drunk :D

It has the advantage that half life already has models for the cross bow so it simplifies that part.

A possible down side is that since it is already in Half Life it has the feel of adding a Half Life weapon to CS.
