Email for Forum signup made easier from within CS (via chat)

New chat command - "/forum" which would then bring up the motd window with 2 things.

1. The actual forum signup page (lazy way)
2. In correspondence with my other request to resize the pages to fit the window without scrolling (see here), maybe make a special page with only base requirements that calls the php forum scrupt? (only slighty harder)

Only metioned as an attempt to get more ideas put out and also to gain more forum traffic, if there are at least 19,000 different cs players playing on DeadM, shouldn't there be a bit more DeadM forum members? Just saying...

Interesting idea, tho there are two issues:

- As far as I know you can not enter text in a MOTD window, though I never tried.

- Web pages cant be resized to fit since there is no std size of a window in cs. Your window size is based on your in game resolution you are playing at. UPGRADE YOUR Internet Explorer, that normally fixes the no scroll issue.

i have 1.7, still doesn't work, but i changed my resolution so its full screen now. btw, what does motd stand for?

Do you mean I.E. 7.1?

MOTD = Message Of The Day. Its the name Half-Life calls in game popup windows.

It was originally created as the splash screen you see when connecting to any server. It is Valves idea of how server owners could show players information about the server.
