GETTING AN AVATAR TO SHOW

I can't seem to get an avatar showing under my names in the forum. I have uploaded a picture (jpg) to //photodump.com. In my profile I have tried two dirfferent links:
[img]http://www.photodump.com/drive/blazer/humantorch.jpg[/img/
[img]http://www.photodump.com/humantorch.jpg{/img]
Anyone have any suggestions?
I would be grateful for any.

Both of your links give a 404.

404 means that the browser cant find the page. I think your URL isnt right.

Does an avatar have to be a certain size or file type? The one I put out on photodump is a jpg.

Don't know if format matters, just please do not make them too big.

blazer...for your avatar you dont need code for image...just put in location of the picture.

it brings me to the photodump homepage.

You cant use the links directly to the picture in photodump, I suggest you get a photobucket.com account.
