Heat Seeker

Postby shrew.deadm » Wed Jun 02, 2004 10:17 pm

I bought myself a beautiful heat seeker today to find that the seeking mechanism is really off whack.

Shooting downfield (rush2) only netted a kill if the rocket was reeeeally close to the target, it was incredibly obivious that it was harded to hit than with the normal locking.

Sometimes rockets would shoot right over peoples heads and keep going till it smashed a wall, weather they were in the open or behind a hill.

Is something foul afoot?

hmmm, could be, I will look into it. I have done some speed optimizations in that area of the code. Frequently "making things better" is just another way of introducing bugs  .

lol maks... i dont really care about the credits.

I'd rather spend 10 credits than have 10 kids whine to me about a broken seeker and then THEM demanding credits.

Think like an admin. ;-)
