I did a system restore last night and when the system rebooted I got this message\windowsystem32\config\system was missing or corrupt. I have done a little research and will attempt to restore tonight but I may end up just buying a new computer. So wish me luck

Well, I wish I could say Linux is better. Sadly it is even worse than Windows. Harder to install and maintain, Hence your need of Humming Bird to simply get software to work under Linux.

I am not too sure about your numbers terror. Dell has been selling Linux boxes for just a few months, and have sold over 40,000 units of them. From 50%-51% of web servers run linux. If you have a linksys router, it runs linux. A lot of corporations that used to use Unix (System 5 and BSD) have switched to various flavors of Linux.

The numbers that I last saw, which are several years old now, had Linux at 40% of total OS installations. Now that is for all computers so it includes firewalls, web server, etc.

That is true terror. For gaming Linux and Mac blow. The only reason I run Windows is because of the programs available for it.

The irony is Mac 10.x is actually Unix under the hood. So Mac is basically Linux with a much better user interface. 8-[

Glad some people still remember me. Anyway, long story made short, I decided to take a break from CS, but the break kept getting extended... Until now! :) So I guess I'll be back (expect to see me quite a bit!).

I'd be more than happy to help get CS working on linux for you (under WINE).

Sorry say, though, I will be leaving tomorrow to attend a funeral, and will not be back for around a week, so I guess I'll see y'all then! (And help y' once I come back.)
