Bring back the old maps!

The old maps that I am proposing are reinstated in the next map pack are as follows
cs_hoth, cs_hoth2, de_enterprise-D, starwars2a, fy_poolparty, de_vegas, de_train, cs_backalley and the imperial crusier map(don't remeber the name).If you have any additions/corrections/comments on this list please reply to the post. NOTE-This is more of a petition then a poll, if you like any or all of these maps please vote yes.

fy_poolparty made alot of servers crash as I remember. Starwars2 also has an error, I proposed starwars2a, maybe that version doesn't have the error. As for the other maps, I know them and would definetly want to play them @ deadm.

In that case scratch fy_poolparty and starwars2 and add starwars2a and maybe fy_pool_day as a replacment?

WOW! Hold up! I mixed fy_poolparty and fy_pool_day... pool_day is the one that makes servers crash...

OK its fixed, any map additions or changes ill just edit the original post-its still starwarsa and fy_poolparty NOT fy_pool_day.

So Fy_Pool_Day makes the servers crash??? how come, cause its a fun map. Also... Fy_Pool_day2 is a fun map, does that one also make servers crash??? :?

BTW. Those are great maps...

I voted no. Simply because there are reasons the maps are no longer in the rotation.

Here are examples of why those maps may be gone.

1. They have a issue with them
2. They take to long to complete
3. There is a way to prolong a round forever if a admin isnt present.
4. They did not recieve enough votes when on the server.

It doesnt matter how much the forum kids like certain maps the bottom line comes down to the approval percentage on the server. People that play just once on the server have the same wieght in thier vote as the rest of us.

This is the way it is, maps arnt removed without a reason for them not returning.

starwars2a - was already requested by Maks and will be int he next map pack. (There is a thread about it).

de_hoth - is unstables and does not have enough pawn points for a 16 player server.

de_hoth2 - is unstable.

fy_pool_xxx - caused server issues. (Though one of my all time favorite maps).

cs_backalley - In a period of 6+ months was selected for play around 3 times. (Even unpopular maps get selected for play around 70-100 times in that time span).

de_enterprise-D - Would lag the server a bit and stands as one of the lowest ranked maps ever played on the server. The map was so huge teams could not find each other and would spend entire rounds just wondering the halls.

de_vega, de_train - Never received and approval rating above 50%.

Maps like those put them more into the rotation. Or like I said have people nominate what they want.

I think that they havent been played enough to get a good idea of if people really like them. How about putting them in the new map pack so they will be in that slot of new maps hopefully making them played more often.

They were already in several map packs with over an 8 month run. A good map catches on in about 2 weeks.
