Choppy Mic

well when i installed cs on my new computer i tried to use the mic and everyone says i am choppy ive tried reinstalling like 5 times and nothing happend anyone know what to to for this problem?

Could be a lot of things. A few things to check:

- Make sure your sound card is Full Duplex (should say it some where in its specs). This means that it can record and play sound at the same time. Almost all sound systems now support Full Duplex, so I doubt this is the issue, but you never know.

- Check the setting in the audio driver. In my case my driver came with a bunch of features like, echo cancellation and noise suppression. They just made the mic hard to understand so I turned them off. All worked fine after that.

Fixed it, :D it was because i was using the mic on my webcam and those mics arent good for game play so i plugged in my old mic and changed a few settings and now it works
