Anyone know how to block a person from messaging you?

I keep getting messages from cola aka TA the person who was cussing on the server, he's messaging me through the steam group and im not sure how to block him. Anyway here was todays short convo after comming home:
(I added edits to his cuss words so i hope i dont get in trouble)
Edits have () around them

cola: your a (f------) spic go take a bath/shower/soap/faggot
Kane: alright.. be a (ahole)
Kane: i tried to help you and obviously your proving to me that you were the one who was cussing earlier
cola: u cuss and i didint i get ban (st-u) u (f-------) spic
Kane: i feel sorry that i actually believed you for a moment
Kane: lol what?
Kane: i dont cuss in the server
Kane: you obviously got banned or you wouldnt be flaming me
cola: (st-u) (fag---) your a (f------) spic you act liek your hurt casue somone cuss
Kane: and whats a spic? ive never heard of that before
cola: wow really spic
Kane: im not hurt, profanity and the things you said
cola: casue your a (f------) retard
Kane: are NOT tolerated on the server

Kane: if any admin was on at the time you would have been banned instantly
Kane: becuase there wasn't your ban was delayed

Anyway... sorry about posting profanity but its getting annoying to recieve messages from him.
And yeah i did say one thing i probably shoudlnt have called him an (a--hole) >_< coudlnt think of another word.

I thought he had to be in your friends list to IM you through steam? If so just remove him from friends.

you dont have to accept the request, just that if they add you to their friends list, then they have the possibility of messaging you withought the acceptance.

and also kane, a spic is a spanish person who came here from spain. there other persons that goes with it that i couldnt say it here.. since im not sure on your background idk if you are one.. i am since i am 50%.. so i really dont mind myself on being called it..

yeah i keep getting alot of Chat invited from cola i keep Rejecting them and i accept 1 time to ask him to stop and he just starts saying a bunch of stuff about getting in trouble on server like I DIDNT CUSS AT ALL YOU ****** LIER and then i just said ya u did dont blame me for stuff you do and ended chat and he keeps trying 2 invite me to chat things and interrupts me in game alot
i think cola is that guy who kept mic spamming that one day with all the cussing and inappropriate language

Yeah cola is TA, and hes constantly messaging us through the steam group. You can accept or decline, but he keeps messaging us to flame us and theres nothing you can do because it just comes up again and its irritating.

As for my background ill tell later if you ask me in game =p its fun to have people guess what i am.

If you go to "Settings" then the "In-Game" tab, there is an option "Enable Steam Community In Game". You can de-select that and at least you wont be bothered during game play.

Also might post on steam forums about the need to be able to block harashing people.

Well i feel guilty for getting him banned from dms already, if he continues to try and annoy me or anyone else, ill gladly report him to steam.

I don't see why people make it out too be soooo hard not to cuss. Heck I curse like a sailor unfortunatly, but when the time comes to clean up my language wether it be for kids, family, respect, or just someones preference.. I'm sober maybe 10% of the time I play CS and I have always kept a good mouth..

Its not hard people just THINK before you SPEAK!!!!!
