Earn Credits By Taking Screen Shots

Postby FluffyKitty.deadm » Thu Jan 17, 2008 7:07 pm

In the current map pack about 1/3 of the maps do not have thump nail pictures for them. In the past we gave credits to players that took screen shots to help out. That system worked pretty well so we are going to try it again. For each map photographed you will get 1 credit. This equals out to about 1 credit for 5 - 10 mins of work.

As always there are some conditions:
Need at least 6 different screen shots of a map.
One shot should be an overview of the map. (Not possible for all maps)
Screen shots need to be taken in spectator mode (no hands visible).
Screen shots must be good quality and tell the story of the map. (5 pics of CT spawn won't cut it)
Highlight unique points of the map using good camera angles.
The resolution of the pictures should be 640x480 or larger.
The screen should be free of any text or messages.
Screen shots for a map should be zipped and emailed to: admin@deadm.com
If multiple maps are done, each map's screen shots should be in its own zip file.

ALL the above conditions MUST be met to receive credits for the pics.

Here is the list of maps that need pictures:

You can pick any map you like. You can do one or multiple maps. To prevent two or more people working on the same map, post in this thread the map you are working on. That will insure you get the credits when you complete the work.

Good Luck

Thx Bradwin, You have your credits.

I just wanted to note for anyone working on screen shots, I added a request to make one of the shots an overview shot. You can't do this with all maps, but at least try to get one.

The easiest way to get an overview is:
    Enter spectator mode.
Go to the middle of the map.
Go straight up until you can see the whole map.
    Look straight down.
    Take the screen shot
