I know fluff is working on a different layout for the stats so they might be down till it is completed, im not 100% sure though.

Online stats should be back within the week if not sooner. They will be psychostats 2.x . This means the in game stats and online stats will not be nicely integrated like I wanted. So there will be two different ranking systems. When I get more spare time I will integrate them better.

No it records demos of all game play to review for cheating or server abuses.

ah, well id suggest this.
steambans.com

when the players join they are asked to allow the system to scan their comp for useing hax during the time that they play, and if they reject it, they are kicked from the server but can re-join. then it dosent take up any slots, thus giving your server more slots for players...

Thx for the suggestion.

With out a demo there is no way to verify if someone is cheating or not. There will always be cheats that get past cheat detectors, that is where the demos come in.

I would caution you on relying too much on server side cheat detectors. The issue is server side cheat scanners are extremely easy for cheats to circumvent.

Keep in mind a cheat modifies the client. When the server attempts a scan it is asking the client (i.e. the cheat) for information. All the cheat has to do is feed bogus information to the server to fool it.

well it works that by checking that if it was the users were having just the mouse move to make the shot, or if a program used the mouse to aim at the enemy, do you know what i mean???

All the cheat has to do is put mouse movements on the windows queue and their mechanism is totally circumvented. It takes once function call to do this.

Again, server side only cheat detectors are actually talking to the cheat. So the cheat can change/hide the data in any way it wishes to mask its trail.

I would say that more likely they are tracking how rapidly the mouse turns. Using the assumption if the mouse moves more than X rate it must be a cheat. It is a great way to get false positives.
